Where in the world has the salvage store been?

The Rockwell Collins Inventory Disposal Store, better known as the "Salvage Store", has occupied many locations over the history of our company. Hobbyists, homebuilders, and radio amateurs have, for years,  relied on surplus components and laboratory discards for project building materials. The heart of many a scientific masterpiece started from a "treasure" that was discovered at the Collins Salvage Store.

Readers respond, remembering old store locations.
Al,
The history on the web is really neat. I started at Collins in Jan 1968. It was in my first week that my new co-workers (hams) took me to visit the surplus store. It was in the old DEECO electronics building. I seem to recall the surplus store had just moved into the building a short time before and that it was a former grocery store.
BTW that was a time when they sold the "good stuff"! I think I may still have a few items purchased in the surplus store in 1968.
Best Regards,
Rod
Al,
You left out when the store was across the street from Pennick & Ford with the back of the building to the river, circa 1964-66. Parking lot was down hill from the street and all gravel. That really was a surplus store or maybe a middle Eastern bazaar.
Regards,
Dick
  Al,
I also remember old timers talking about the "Cherry Building" as a real early site.
